Ruston C. Welch

Mr. Welch was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Yukon, a suburb of Oklahoma City. Mr. Welch attended Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma from 1982 -1986.  While earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Mr. Welch played varsity Soccer for SNU and was a NAIA Academic All American in 1985.  Mr. Welch is a member of the honorary business society, Phi Delta Lambda and graduated cum laude. 

Mr. Welch attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law and earned his J.D. Degree in 1989, with honors and a member of Order of the Coif. Mr. Welch started his career working for a large prominent Oklahoma City law firm throughout his third year of law school and continuing after passing the Oklahoma Bar and being sworn in on September 20, 1989. In January 1992, Mr. Welch joined a medium size firm and spent the majority of the next four years working in troubled real estate loans, workouts and bankruptcies for a speculative lender. 

After a merger of law firms, Mr. Welch continued representation in business, financing transactions, workouts and civil litigation. In 1998, Mr. Welch accepted a position as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for a regional medical laboratory holding company with operations in seven states. Although working full time as General Counsel, Mr. Welch formed the firm in 1998.  After completing a sale of the business, Mr. Welch returned to full time private practice in 2004. 

For over twenty-five years, Mr. Welch has and continues to be a member of the American Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association and Oklahoma County Bar Associations. Mr. Welch is admitted to practice before the Oklahoma Courts as well as the U.S. District Court, Western District of Oklahoma and Northern District of Oklahoma.  Mr. Welch has appeared in Courts reaching from the East to West Coasts in matters for clients.
